Special TLTE MEET

Truly! A special meet.

# It happened in Kolkata. Considering the low concentration of tlte members in Kolkata, it was an achievement.

# Two guys from IIMs and great Bhav and one non reliable Indian.. totally non reliable.

Date, time and venue ..everything was finalized after a series of phone calls. Oh! I forgot the date, let me recall. I went to my cousin’s place that day. It was Sunday. Ahh! It was 7^th Jan. the first Sunday of 2007. Venue: Barista Café, time 6pm. The plan (actually my plan) was to take dinner at bar-be-que [restaurant]. I reached Barista at 6:10 pm and Tirtho [First IIM Guy], Angad [Second IIM guy] and Raja [Non reliable Indian] were already present there. Although I had never met and I have a very bad memory when it comes to distinguish faces, I had no difficulty in recognizing them. Now say it my smartness [which I will really prefer] or say that there was only one table with only 3 guys and NO GIRLS. My hi, their hi. [Cool part of guys, the introduction or greeting part is really brief. Nothing like, Ohh God! Good to see you. You totally look different from your pic,…. You must have lost some weight since the last meet. MUAHH..!! blah blahh] :D . I had a good look of the trio and what I noticed; there was one thing in common. They all were having coffee or some drink without me :O. Instantaneously I excused myself saying that I was going to get something for me. I directly headed towards one of the attender and asked him “Where is the loo”. We spend some 10 minutes after that and it was decided that we would go to some egg roll shop [IIM guys said that “it is the best in the business”] which was near to this place. In the mean time we had some click click from mobile cams [Angad mail/upload the pics]. Oh I forgot to mention that I was full because of late and heavy lunch at my cousin’s place. So I recommended that we should leave the dinner plan which was seconded by Raja because he also had a late lunch. Raja had fever too that day. 103 degree F. :O . But some how his “doc” uncle [see the AMRIKAN touch] managed to make him fit for the meet. Raja and I were first to reach that place and Angad and Tirtho were very late. Finally when they arrived we saw Angad limping. We made some jokes and four egg chicken rolls were ordered. Then standing on the road and eating the rolls, Angad and Tirtho started talking HUGE NUMBERS. Salary 100,000 $. Stupid not dollar, pound. Yeah Yeah I remember. 100,000 pounds. I thought it is better to be quiet now. Then Raja came to rescue. He dragged me out of their conversation and he started telling me about his gfs and his affairs. Oh gosh! That was a long list. Sorry I cannot tell the names, I promised Raja [Yes, of course I will tell you in pms] Raja…Ka .Ka k..k… Kuchh nahi bataunga :P. Then it was decided that we would go to the near by mall..FORUM. That place was like always… crowded and Raja was making some offensive comments on India [Now totally a typical desi AMRIKAN]:P.

Here after much discussion it was finalized that Angad and Tirtho would watch movie from 8:45 pm and I and Raja would head back to respective residence [I hate calling my flat HOME :P]. After getting the movie tickets we tried Hand Hockey/Soccer [Whateva!!].

First Match: Angad Vs Tirtho, Tirtho WON.

Angad you really suck man. I had played once only this game and I would surely beat Tirtho…

Second Match: Raja and Angad: “Bhav you play against Tirtho]. I was thinking, these people hate Tirtho or what. Anyway I accepted and I thought I would play loosely. First goal, stylishly scored by me.Oh! somehow Tirtho managed to have one goal too… A..a..AA! whats happening. I lost :O :(. [Morale of the story: if you have beaten a girl in hand soccer in your first game does not make you a great player :p].

Third game: Raja Vs Tirtho: Tirtho scored 20 goals and Raja won just by 1 goal. Final score Raja 13, Tirtho 12 .

Angad who was watching this game got excited and challenged Raja for one game. Let them play till then let me tell you small funny incident. After all it is meet, we should include more members. I saw a weird dream on Sunday night. India amazed West Indies, Saurabh scored 98 in his comeback innings. Chandu called me that day. Resultant was my dream. I saw Chandu in my dream :P. He had come to my place to meet me. And he had scored 280 runs in a 50 over one day match. He was the new hero. Pepsi team was following him to sign the new contract. He was sitting on sofa and pepsi wale were putting banner of the wall behind sofa so that they could get a pic for their ad :P. I asked chandu “yeh sab aise hi chalega kya”. He replied “ha yaar… yeh log pichha hi nahi chhorte” :P Chandu, I got you a pepsi contract atleast treat me with one pepsi :P. Oh the match was also over. Raja won.

Then we headed to food plaza. Tirtho and Angad had some Turkish roll. Time to include some more members in the meet. Tirtho and Raja made me to call Kosha and Vini. Rings and no answer. [Lucky :) me] Tirtho was going to sms them, saying, it was he who was calling and not Bhav :P. [may be who knows :(.] . Finally Vini picked up the phone. Angad, Raja and Tirtho talked with her … aur mujhe hi nhi dia [Kamal hai mera phone aur mujhe hi nahi dia] :P Then Kanu’s no was dialed. Raja called her and this time I said I would definitely talk to her although I didn’t even know her personally… no scrap exchange, nothing. Just we were aware of each other’s existence. I snatched the phone [fone to cheen lia bewakoof bolega kya]. I started talking you know her [we have some common friends in orkut]. Interestingly, I came to know she is living with one of my orkut friend. [Orkut ki mahima .. aparampaar]. Then Kosha’s number came :P. Thank God! It was 8:50 pm by then. :P. I and Raja left Tirtho and Angad there and we planned to meet at next weekend. Now that didn’t happen, but for me first TLTE meet was great. Angad and Tirtho had lots of similarities while Raja was totally different. I don’t want to judge them or comment on them based on one meeting.
